TOM McWEENY

Thomas “Tom” McWeeny is a Partner in KPM LAW’s Fairfax office, where he focuses his practice on the defense of employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in Workers’ Compensation claims throughout Virginia.  Since joining the firm, Tom has built a strong reputation for his pragmatic approach, attention to detail, and ability to simplify complex legal issues for clients facing the challenges of workplace injury litigation. Admitted to the Supreme Court of Virginia (2006), United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (2010), and the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit of Virginia, Tom has extensive experience appearing before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and in courts across the Commonwealth. Tom earned his undergraduate degree from Radford University in 2001 and his Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law in 2005. Over the course of his career, he has been recognized for excellence in advocacy and client service, earning distinctions such as Super Lawyers, Northern Virginia Magazine Top Lawyer, American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys 10 Best – Virginia, NAOPIA Top 10 Under 40, and inclusion among The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 and Top 100 Trial Lawyers. Known for his approachable demeanor and steady leadership style, Tom is valued by clients and colleagues alike for his professionalism and practical guidance. Outside of his practice, Tom enjoys coaching youth ice hockey, where his mentorship and teamwork philosophy mirror his approach in the courtroom and at KPM LAW.
